These past few weeks have been *SUPER* busy! With Valentine’s Day parties, family birthday parties, STAAR testing, Open House…this chick needed some major chill time. So,..that is just what I have been up to for the past month! Chillin’ and being lazy!! But in the classroom…not so much! We have been working *non-stop*! This week we celebrated all things with a cat in red and white. One of my very favorite books by this famous fella is “Oh Say Can You Say”!! Cracks my kiddos up every single time! After reading, we created our very own tongue twisters. We had loads of fun with this! This week we had Open House. Here in Texas…we like to do Open House the Texas way! Wish I had more pictures to show you…but I was so exhausted after the big night…I failed to get pics of all our goodies. We have been working on ‘or’ words so to put a little Texas twist on it…we made these pinterest inspired horses! We just added a little “OR” flare to ‘um! Way cute huh?! We’ve also been working on addition and subtraction facts and key words! After an intro lesson on key words, we did some independent practice with a flip book of course! And…to end the week with some fun…we made all things green today for some *early* St. Patty’s day fun! And, yes, I totally rocked out the green lashes today!! Oh, and do ignore those nails…it’s time for another manicure. Spring Break maybe?!? You can get the St. Patty’s hats {here} that I used in our math activity. Our math activity was inspired by Amy Lemons. I just split the kiddos into groups, gave them a few dice and they got to choose whether they wanted to add or subtract the numbers. Super simple and loads of fun!!! The kiddos loved it! We also enjoyed lots of these FREE activities today! Click {here} to download. Happy Friday friends 🙂 Spring Break has officially started for me!! whoop whoop!!!
