Learning how to be a friend and how to make friends are important skills for kids. I love collecting friendship books because you can use them all year long, use them during a Friendship unit, or to teach acceptance and differences. They are great to use at the beginning of the year when we learn about each other and at the end of the year to celebrate the special friendships we built throughout the year. Here are 23 Friendship books for kindergarten, 1st grade, or 2nd grade classroom. Some of these books overlap with other social skills.
