These one-to-one counting mats are perfect for number recognition, number sense, and even informal addition or subtraction. My son loves them! You can see more themed counting mats here. Oh, and if you’re a prek/preschool/kinder teacher, Kaitlyn (The Stay at Home Teacher) is sharing thematic plans over on her blog – all you have to do is subscribe to her blog (here) to receive them!

I always loved completing this fun writing activity at the end of the year. My students would write about what they learned and how they were ready for the next grade level. Some years I would use the “Suiting Up for Summer” option and have them write about what their summer plans. They were PRECIOUS hanging out in the hallway! You can find them here.
