Classroom Management Linky

Hi friends! I am linking up with What the Teacher Wants to share how I do classroom management in my room. I cannot take credit for either of these ideas, but I had to share them because they are just that good!! When my amazing co-worker and blogging buddy, Shannon Kirby shared this idea with me of doing “Behavior makes Cents”…I knew I had to do it in my room. It is amazing. Check out her TPT store to snag it up. I also use Mel D.’s fuzzies system throughout each day and let me just tell you ladies…this.works.wonders! So, bare with me as I try to explain how I do these. This post may be all over the place. Here is our main little color chart that we use. Classroom Management (1 of 9) Each day the kiddos start off on black. At the end of each day, during our stack and pack time, the kiddos stamp their color for the day using these money stamps in our behavior bucket. I have a picture of each coin on the matching stamp pad. This helps with any confusion on which stamp to use for which color pad.  Classroom Management (4 of 9)  Classroom Management (3 of 9) Classroom Management (5 of 9) The kiddos have a behavior sheet for the month in their binders that go home each day. This is the sheet that is stamped and initialed each day. Each Friday, we count up their money for the week, and then they get to shop at the Behavior Store. This is always a favorite. Classroom Management (2 of 9) I use {these} class gift cards. Love them! Our Lucket Bucket is our prize box. I just keep any little goodies in here…usually ones donated from our PTO. Classroom Management (6 of 9) Classroom Management (7 of 9) Each Friday morning, during our morning work time, students that have at least 10 fuzzies or 2 big fuzzies come to the Fuzzy Shop. I give out a small fuzzy when I see someone making good choices, cleaning up, helping a friend, participating, etc. Big fuzzies are for going above and beyond. They love to earn a big one. If you have not read Mel D.’s posts regarding her fuzzy classroom management, you definitely need to check it out. The kiddos love these things. Let me just tell you, that when they lose a fuzzy for not making a good choice, etc…..there are full blown tears friends. They are so heart broken when they have to give me a fuzzy. I have tried many things over the years for instant positive rewards and this is by far the best I have used. I keep a handful of fuzzies in a bag and the bag goes everywhere with us….to specials, lunch..everywhere. They can earn one anytime.anywhere! Classroom Management (8 of 9) Classroom Management (9 of 9) Happy Wednesday friends!
