Inspired!

Something that sets teaching apart from any other profession is being inspired by others. Y’all, there are some amazing teachers out there!
Last night I was wide awake! Bright-eyed-and-bushy-tailed! I checked my Facebook and saw this post from Kickin’ it in Kinder. I knew tomorrow was going to be a busy day with wrapping up punctuation, working on letter writing parts, and comparing numbers…..so I racked my brain on what supplies I already had in my room and knew I had to incorporate this somehow.
So, Construction Day it was!
We started off nailing punctuation marks on our sentences, and rebuilding letters with our tools.
You can find the construction freebies here. Clipart is by Krista at Creative Clips!

Next, we moved things outside. The weather was calling our name!
In math, we built houses out of place value blocks and compared the value of our houses to our partners.

We also ordered numbers on an open number line…aka, the grass!

Speaking of being inspired. I met two of many that inspire me daily to be the best teacher I can be!

Reagan from Tunstall’s Teaching Tidbits and Cara from The First Grade Parade.
Welp, on Friday nights we like to pig out….so I’m off to get my eat on!
