I love intergrading themes into standards because it can make learning more fun for students. Grab some wiggle/googly eyes, dice, and these Monster Math Activities for a fun filled math lesson or center.

Monster Math Activities
Number Sense – Assign each student a number to create or let them choose their own by rolling a die. Students place that amount of googly eyes on the frame. There are 5, 10, and 20 frames. Student write the matching number. Follow up with the cute craftivity.
Addition and Subtraction – You can use these a few different ways. One example, student will roll a die to generate their first number. Let’s say they roll a 4. They place 4 eyes on the frame on the mat and write the number 4 on the number sentence. They count how many more to make 10 to complete the number sentence. I like to use different color eyes or size eyes for students to see the two parts that make up the number sentence. This is so good for your visual learners. There are mats for 5, 10, and 20. Afterwards, students complete the craft and display on a bulletin board.
Monster Math Worksheets – Grab these for extra practice, time fillers, or for early finishers!
