Ok, so who else spends their entire Target budget just in the Dollar Spot? Whew…glad I’m not the only one!
Today, I am sharing several cvc free games (and a few place value ones too) that you can use with the dry erase dice and 3 slot plastic containers from the Target Dollar Spot! The printables are linked at the end of this post.
What I love most about these Dry Erase Blocks from the Target Dollar Spot is that they are colored. The green, yellow, and red are a great visual for students to see the beginning, middle, and ending sounds. If you are not able to find these dice at your local Target Dollar Spot, you could trace the edges of any dry erase dice with green, yellow, and red permanent markers to create the same visual support.
CVC FREE GAMES
Ok, let’s look at the cvc free games! First up, are these Dab or Color printables. Students roll the dice to create a word and dab (with a bingo marker) or color in the picture that matches the word they rolled. If you have 2 students working in a group, they could work together to complete the same printable, OR you could give them each a printable and have them race to color the whole mat first!
There are also printables included in the free download for each vowel.
For the Real or Not Real Words printable, students roll the dice to create a word and record the word under “real word” or “not real word”.
This CVC Word Family freebie can be used when working on rhyming. Students roll just the beginning sound (the beginning sound) and record their words. This is another way the colors on the dice come in handy!
Ok, let’s switch gears. These Place Value freebies can be used for expanded form. There are both 3 digit and 2 digit printables included in the free download. This one is pretty self explanatory, but students roll the dice (you could also use regular dice), record the number they rolled, and expand the number.
These place value discs are great for expanded form (affiliate link included).
I hope that you will be able to use these printables in your classroom! You can download all the printables HERE.
