First up! Teacher Must Haves! Here are my top 5 picks for the teacher!
Yeti Cup: I love these cups! They have kept my water, soda, coffee, ice cold or hot all day long! They come in several different colors!
Astrobrights Colored Paper: This paper can be used for so many different things in your classroom! Crafts, parent notes, newsletters, tags, anchor chart letters are some that I can think of right off the bat.
Laminator and laminator sheets: I loved having one of these laminators in my classroom. Anytime I needed something laminated quickly – it came to the rescue! It also has a handle on the end so it was easy for me to transport it to and from school.
Rae Dunn Planner: Who doesn’t need a cute, light weight planner to take to and from school meetings, as well as to and from the classroom?!
Comfy dress and shoes: These t-shirt maxi dresses are so comfy! They truly fill like you are working in your pajamas. Pair it with booties or tennis shoes for the fall/winter, and sandals for the spring/summer! I like to layer these dresses with kimonos and cardigans! These dresses come in several different colors.
Here are more color options for the dress
These shoes are a pair of my favorites!
Alright, now let’s look at some items for classroom games that you might find helpful and easy to use over and over again.
Top 5 Amazon Picks for Classroom Games
These Magnetic Whiteboard Spinners were a staple in my classroom! We used them for just about every subject! Here is an example of one way we used them.
I would spin the spinner and students had to show that time on their analog clocks that they had at their table. We made this game into table races so the first table to all show the correct matching time, received a point. We also used them for practicing word families, reading comprehension questions, and building words.
Sticky Notes: These are another great thing to keep on hand in the classroom. Here is a look at how we used them for fractions, place value, independent work, and games!
Suction Cup Balls: My students LOVED using these! We used them to practice our sight words, phonics skill, and several different math concepts. For example, students got in two teams in front of the board and each team had a suction cup ball. I would call out a word, and they threw the ball onto the board. The team that landed on the correct word, got a point!
Jumbo Inflatable Dice and Number Bean Bags: How fun are these?!? These could be used during whole group instruction to generate numbers for a math lesson.
Top 5 Picks for Reading
Dry Erase Circles and erasers: These dry erase circles are sticky on the back. I used these on my guided reading table for students to write words or responses on. Each student at the table had one. I found them to be much easier than having students bring a whiteboard to and from the table!
How fun are these minion erasers for students to use at the small group table as well?!
These plain colored ones are look great too!
This Magnetic Table Top Easel looks great to keep at a guided reading table to use during lessons.
Write On Dice are great to keep at a small group table to write comprehension questions on. These could also be used with word families and building words.
Have you seen these Snap Word Sight Word Cards? I love how they are visually exciting plus I think that the visual aides on the words might help students with recalling the words. These look great!
Top 5 Pick for Phonics
These Giant Magnetic Letters might be a great manipulative to have on hand when introducing letter formation. One way to use these could be to let students come to the whiteboard to construct the letters. Another idea: call out a letter sound and a student build that letter. Put them in a station or use them for STEM!
These Alphabet Stencil Cards are great for a word work station. Students can trace the letters in a word.
Stamps and Play-Doh are always a hit for word building. Students can stamp out their words in the play dough or they can use the dough to form the letters in the word they are spelling.
Letter Unifix Cubes are another great manipulative to have on hand for word work stations.
If you are wanting magnetic cubes for your whiteboard – guess what?!? Amazon has those too!
These magnetic letters can be used over and over again in the classroom! Put them in a station for word building or use them during guided reading time on the magnetic table top easel to build words. There are uppercase and lowercase options.
Top 5 Picks for Math
Unifix cubes are a definite staple for math manipulatives! These can be used for counting, addition, subtraction, game counters, classroom management, graphing, and STEM.
Plastic Sleeves can be used to put a recording sheet in and use it for a partner game rather than a worksheet.
Spinners! These are a great alternative to using a paper clip and pencil!
Magnetic Ten Frames and a Magnetic Rekenrek Board are wonderful to use during whole group lessons as well as during number talks. We used these daily during math time!
Top 5 Classroom Management Picks
This Dry Erase Tape can be used on student’s desks to write their name on or I have also seen it used to leave positive notes to students on their desks!
Sit Spots can be used for carpet spots or even for classroom games!
These Pull, Stretch, and Squeeze Stress Balls are great to keep on hand for cool down time if a student needs them.
I love these Clear Plastic Poly Envelopes and use them quite often! They are a great way to keep RTI group materials organized because they are color coded and have a place on the front for a label.
Magnetic Timers are wonderful to have in the classroom! Put them on the whiteboard for a visual for students on how much time they have to complete a task.
Whew! That was a LOT of goodies to share, but I hope that you find something in this post to use in your classroom!
