American Symbols and RTI

Last week we was all about American symbols. Here in Texas, we have TEKS (Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills) that we follow, which leaves me feeling left out of all the Common Core stuff. {sad face} As part of our TEKS for first grade, we are to explain the national patriotic symbols. Our meeting place

One of my favorite times during our school day is our meeting time! I love when we all gather up on the rug and have a read aloud, or start a new lesson, create anchor charts together, have our morning meeting,…it’s just my favorite! Adverbs, Adjectives, and Mysteries!!

Friday “Try”day

So…I have refrained all week from posting anything with pictures. I’ve caught the bug!

Whelp,...it's official. I caught the blogging bug!
