Today marks exactly one month until I go back to school. Can you believe summer is almost over?!? It flies by crazy fast! This year my little cutie will be with me everyday at school. I’m so darn excited! We have been hard at work trying to get ready for Kindergarten! The two centers below are centers that I made with her in mind, but will definitely use during the first week of school. The first one is matching colored dots to their color word … [Read more...]

6 more days and this chick is sleeping in!! Can I get a “HOLLA”?!? Even with 6 days left, we have not missed a beat. This week we are having lots of fun with our David Shannon author study. Is it terrible for me to say that I am so thankful we are done with our basals?! Those things drive me nutso! Here’s a peek at what we’ve been up to so far! Anyways, yesterday, my kiddos made these little plant flip craftivities about the needs of … [Read more...]
Classroom Management Linky

I cannot take credit for either of these ideas, but I had to share them because they are just that good!! When my amazing co-worker and blogging buddy, Shannon Kirby shared this idea with me of doing “Behavior makes Cents”…I knew I had to do it in my room. It is amazing. Check out her TPT store to snag it up. I also use Mel D.’s fuzzies … [Read more...]
Our meeting place
One of my favorite times during our school day is our meeting time! I love when we all gather up on the rug and have a read aloud, or start a new lesson, create anchor charts together, have our morning meeting,…it’s just my favorite! Here is my 2nd little edition of this rug we will be using this year for our meeting place! I am very excited about it. After 2 months..I am finally finished with it. It could have been done 2 months ago…buut, I … [Read more...]
