End of Year Memory Books

End of Year Memory books are always so much fun for students to make! I love them! BUT....y'all know how the end of the year can be sometimes - BUSY! I find that I do not always get around to my students making these books each year because they take time, and with all of our end of year testing, etc...they just don't always get done.  This year, I wanted something quick and fun for my students to make! SO, we are going to pick our … [Read more...]

I wanted to create something practical and minimal-to no prep for an end of the year activity. So, that's how this Movie Day mini pack was born, ha! End of the Year Theme Day Activities Alright, let's jump in and get … [Read more...]

R controlled Phonics Friends

Long time no chat friends! Life has been one crazy party around here, but I'm back and ready to catch up with you all.  As you know, phonics is a huge skill in first grade and most of the time, it is pretty boring for most of our kiddos. Last year I knew I had to jazz things up in my phonics instruction and create something meaningful, engaging, and something that helped the sounds stick with my students. That's when … [Read more...]

Phonics Friends

One thing I absolutely love to teach (besides math) is Phonics. I don't know about y'all, but when I was in 1st grade we didn't have different spelling rules and fancy names like digraphs, diphthongs, etc. Vowels were vowels and consonants were consonants, and spelling was memorized. That's how it was in my neck of the woods anyways. Needless to say I was lost when I first started teaching 1st grade! I was trying to remember the names, … [Read more...]

If you're teaching summer school - these summer centers are great for intervention, too.  You can find several other preschool activities and centers here. Here's what … [Read more...]
